Cheddar Jam Finger Bites (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Dough Mix

01 - 1 cup plain flour
02 - 1/2 cup soft butter, unsalted
03 - 1 cup grated strong cheddar
04 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic dust
05 - 1/4 teaspoon table salt
06 - 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
07 - 1 tablespoon tangy mustard (skip if you want)

→ Finish

08 - 1/4 cup spicy pepper jam

# Instructions:

01 - Get your oven hot at 350°F (175°C). Put some baking paper on a tray or just oil it lightly.
02 - Grab a big bowl and throw in the soft butter, flour, grated cheddar, garlic dust, salt, and pepper. Add the tangy mustard if you're using it. Stir it all up until you've got a nice smooth ball of dough.
03 - Take the dough and make little 1-inch (2.5 cm) balls with your hands or a small cookie tool. Put them on your tray with about an inch between each one.
04 - Push your thumb or the end of a spoon into each ball to make a little hole in the middle.
05 - Stick them in the hot oven for about 12-15 minutes until they turn golden brown around the edges.
06 - Take them out and let them cool for 5 minutes. Then put about 1/2 teaspoon of spicy pepper jam into each dent.
07 - Wait a bit for the jam to set, then enjoy them warm or cool.

# Notes:

01 - Want more kick? Just add extra spicy jam to each bite.
02 - The tangy mustard isn't needed but makes them taste even better.
03 - You can keep these treats in a sealed box for 2 days but they're much tastier fresh.
