Cheesy Bacon Wrapped Sticks (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 12 string cheese sticks
02 - 12 strips of premium bacon

→ Breading

03 - 1 cup plain flour
04 - 2 eggs (room temperature)
05 - 1 cup Italian breadcrumbs
06 - 1 teaspoon ground garlic
07 - 1 teaspoon powdered onion
08 - ½ teaspoon red paprika
09 - ½ teaspoon ground pepper

→ Garnish & Serving

10 - 1 tablespoon chopped fresh herbs
11 - Tomato dipping sauce

# Instructions:

01 - Pop cheese sticks in the freezer for about 30 minutes so they don't melt too fast during cooking.
02 - Heat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Cut bacon strips in half. Wrap each cheese stick fully with bacon, making sure it's tight. Put them on a lined baking tray with seams facing down.
03 - Get three bowls ready - put flour in one, whisk eggs in another, and mix breadcrumbs with all the spices in the last one.
04 - Take your bacon-wrapped cheese sticks and first roll them in flour, then dunk them in egg, and finally cover them completely with the spiced breadcrumbs.
05 - Place all coated sticks on your baking sheet and cook for 15-20 minutes until the bacon gets crispy and you can see the cheese starting to bubble.

# Notes:

01 - Cold cheese from the freezer won't ooze out too quickly while baking.
02 - These taste best right out of the oven when the cheese is still stretchy and warm.
