Crunchy Air Fryer Onion Rings (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1/2 teaspoon paprika
02 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
03 - 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
04 - 1 large onion, cut into rings
05 - Salt and pepper the way you like it
06 - 1/2 cup plain flour
07 - 1 egg, whisked
08 - Spray olive oil

# Instructions:

01 - Cut the onion into rings that are around a quarter of an inch thick, then pull the rings apart and set them aside.
02 - Use three bowls: one for the flour, one for the egg (whisk it first), and the last one for the seasoned breadcrumb mix (combine breadcrumbs with paprika, garlic powder, and your chosen amount of salt and pepper).
03 - Dip each onion ring in the flour first (tap to remove extra), then give it a dunk in the egg, and finally cover it fully with the seasoned breadcrumbs.
04 - Turn the air fryer on to 375°F and let it heat for 3 to 5 minutes so it’s ready to cook.
05 - Spray a light coat of olive oil inside the air fryer basket to keep the onion rings from sticking.
06 - Lay the onion rings in a single layer in the greased basket (don’t overcrowd—you might need multiple batches). Air fry them for 8-10 minutes total, flipping halfway so both sides crisp up nicely.
07 - Let those golden onion rings rest for a minute or two, then serve them hot and tasty!

# Notes:

01 - These crunchy onion rings are air-fried for a lighter twist but still pack a satisfying bite!
02 - Want to mix up the flavors? Add a pinch of cayenne for spice, grated parmesan for richness, or some dried herbs to the coating.
