Set your oven to 200°C (400°F) and let it heat up.

On a floured countertop, spread out the thawed pastry and even it out with a rolling pin.

Coat the surface of the pastry with melted butter. Sprinkle with a mix of cinnamon and sugar, making sure it's spread all over.

Slice the pastry into strips about 2.5cm (1-inch) wide. Roll each strip into a twist and put them on a tray lined with parchment paper.

Brush egg wash over the twisted pastry so it'll bake with a golden, shiny look.

Pop the tray into the oven for 15-20 minutes until puffy and golden brown. Let them cool just a little before eating.
