Effortless Hawaiian Toast Bake (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - King's Hawaiian rolls (1 pack, sweet type)
02 - Eggs, large
03 - Whole cream
04 - Milk, full-fat
05 - White sugar

→ Flavorings

06 - Vanilla extract (real, not artificial)
07 - Cinnamon, ground
08 - Butter, melted
09 - A pinch of salt

→ Toppings

10 - Optional butter pats
11 - Maple syrup, Grade A, for pouring
12 - Powdered sugar for sprinkling on top

# Instructions:

01 - Heat up your oven to 350°F (175°C). Butter up or spray a big 9x13-inch pan so nothing sticks to it.
02 - Take all those sweet rolls and cut them horizontally, making a top and bottom for each. Lay them out in your greased dish with the inside part facing up.
03 - Grab a big bowl and whisk together the eggs, milk, cream, sugar, cinnamon, salt, and vanilla until it's all smooth as can be.
04 - Evenly pour the custard mix over the rolls. Press down gently with a spatula to make sure they soak it up well. Then, drizzle melted butter across the top.
05 - Cover the pan with foil and bake it for 25 minutes. After that, take off the foil and let it bake 15-20 minutes more, until the top gets a nice golden color and the custard's no longer liquid.
06 - Let it cool slightly, then cover it with a layer of powdered sugar. Serve warm with maple syrup and butter on the side, if you'd like.

# Notes:

01 - You can prep it the night before and bake fresh the next morning.
02 - The texture and sweetness are best with King's Hawaiian rolls.
03 - Grade A maple syrup tastes much smoother than the alternatives.
