Effortless Cotton Candy Swirl Apples (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 bag of cotton candy (assorted colors)
02 - Lollipop sticks or long wooden skewers
03 - ¼ cup of light corn syrup
04 - Food dye (pick your favorite colors)
05 - 2 cups of plain sugar
06 - 1 cup of water
07 - 4 medium-sized apples

# Instructions:

01 - Grab your apples and rinse off any dirt or wax. Make sure they're completely dry—this step is a must, or the coating won't stick. Once they're dry, push a lollipop stick or skewer halfway into the top of each apple, keeping it firm and steady.
02 - Pour the sugar, water, and corn syrup into a medium pot and heat it up on medium. Stir it gently until the sugar melts and it starts bubbling. Leave it alone to boil until it hits 300-310°F (use a candy thermometer to check if you’ve got one). That’s when it gets glossy and ready to harden.
03 - Take the piping hot syrup off the stove and carefully drop in some food coloring. Swirl the pot around a bit so the color mixes into the sticky syrup. Go bright, pastel, or even mix different shades—it’s up to you!
04 - Let the syrup sit for about a minute to cool slightly. Tip the pan, and dip each apple in the mix, twisting and turning so every side is covered. Shake off any extra syrup gently and keep going before it thickens too much.
05 - After dipping, set the apples down on parchment paper or a non-stick mat and let them chill there. Wait about 30 to 60 minutes until the coating completely hardens into a shiny layer.
06 - Right before serving, gently grab some cotton candy and wrap it over each apple to create a fluffy, colorful topping. Use different colors if you’re feeling fancy—just don’t do this step too early, or the cotton candy might melt!

# Notes:

01 - Crunchy candy shells and fluffy cotton candy come together to make a dessert that’s both delicious and whimsical.
02 - Add the cotton candy close to serving time since it can melt quickly if the air is humid.
03 - For an extra special touch, you can mix a few food dye colors together or throw in some edible glitter for a sparkling look.
