Honey Hot Chicken Sandwiches (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 pounds chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
02 - 1 tablespoon hot cayenne pepper
03 - 1 teaspoon dark smoked paprika
04 - 1 teaspoon seasoned garlic salt
05 - 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
06 - 1 cup pure honey
07 - 1 tablespoon white vinegar
08 - ΒΌ cup unsalted butter
09 - Soft buns for serving
10 - Sliced pickles for garnish

# Instructions:

01 - Coat the bottom of a 6 quart slow cooker with cooking spray and put the chicken breasts inside.
02 - Stir together the cayenne pepper, paprika and garlic salt in a small bowl.
03 - Dust the spice mixture over all parts of the chicken.
04 - Scatter the brown sugar on top.
05 - Slowly drizzle honey across the entire surface of the chicken.
06 - Add the vinegar to the pot.
07 - Drop the butter on the chicken.
08 - Put the lid on and cook for 4 hours on LOW or 2 hours on HIGH.
09 - After cooking, grab two forks and shred the chicken while it's still in the slow cooker.
10 - Load the meat onto soft buns and top with pickle slices.

# Notes:

01 - Keep any extras in a covered container in your fridge for up to 3 days.
02 - This dish packs some heat - cut back to 1/2 tablespoon of cayenne if you want it milder. For fire-lovers, bump it up to 2 tablespoons.
03 - Try it on brioche, regular hamburger buns, or go fancy with pretzel buns.
