In a medium bowl, gently combine ground turkey, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until just incorporated. Avoid overmixing.

Divide the mixture into four equal portions and form into patties approximately 1.25 cm thick. Press a shallow indent in the center of each patty using your thumb to promote even cooking.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add patties and cook for 6–7 minutes per side until deeply browned and fully cooked. Ensure the internal temperature reaches 74°C.

For cheeseburgers, add a slice of cheddar to each patty during the final minute of cooking, covering the pan briefly to melt the cheese.

Optionally toast the burger buns until golden.

Place each patty on a bun base, add tomato, onion, pickles, lettuce and desired condiments. Serve immediately.
