Get your grill really hot or warm up a pan on medium-high heat.

Stir mayo and Korean red pepper paste in a bowl until they're completely mixed. Put it aside for later.

Throw pork in a big bowl and add sugar, soy, oil, and onions. Mix it all up with your hands just enough to blend everything. Don't squish it too much.

Split the meat mix into four equal chunks and press them into burger shapes.

Put burgers on the grill or in the pan until they're totally done, reaching 160°F inside.

Lay each hot burger on a toasted bun, smear with your spicy mayo, and pile on kimchi and cucumber if you want.
