Slow Cooker BBQ Brisket Sandwich (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Brisket and Sauce

01 - 2.5 kg beef brisket
02 - 350 ml barbecue sauce, divided

→ Smokey BBQ Dry Rub

03 - 1 tablespoon light brown sugar
04 - 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
05 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
06 - 1 teaspoon onion powder
07 - 1 teaspoon salt
08 - 1 teaspoon black pepper

→ To Serve

09 - 6 burger buns
10 - Sliced pickles
11 - Sliced onions
12 - Coleslaw
13 - Additional barbecue sauce

# Instructions:

01 - Pour 240 ml of barbecue sauce into the base of the slow cooker to create a flavourful cooking environment.
02 - Combine light brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper to make the dry rub. Massage the full mixture thoroughly onto all sides of the brisket.
03 - Place the seasoned brisket gently into the slow cooker. Cover with lid and cook on low heat for 7 to 8 hours until the meat is tender.
04 - Remove the brisket from the slow cooker and allow it to rest for 10 minutes. Shred with forks or slice thinly according to preference.
05 - Layer brisket onto burger buns and top with pickles, onions, coleslaw, and additional barbecue sauce as desired. Serve immediately.

# Notes:

01 - For optimal flavour, marinate the brisket with the spice rub overnight in the refrigerator.
