Set your oven to 375°F and get baking sheets lined with parchment paper.

Stir together the cake mix, eggs, butter, and vanilla until it's all mixed up.

Take 1 tablespoon of dough, coat it in powdered sugar, and place on the sheet. Leave about 3 inches of space between each.

Pop them in the oven for 7-9 minutes until they crack and look set. Let them cool on the sheet for 10 minutes before moving to a rack.

Blend the softened butter and cream cheese until smooth. Pour in the vanilla, then slowly mix in powdered sugar. Beat everything for 2 minutes.

Spread about 2 teaspoons of frosting on the bottom of one cookie, then gently sandwich it with another.
